Temporary Use of Facilities

The Business Services Office schedules temporary use of University facilities (except Alumni Center, Memorial Union, Brady Commons and Athletic Facilities) for times other than regularly scheduled classes and evening group exams. These include (but are not limited to):

ROOM RESERVATIONS FAQs and contacts for commonly used MU facilities  

Missouri Unions (Memorial Union and Student Center)

The reservations desk for the Missouri Unions is located in the north lobby of the Memorial Union; phone number is 884-8793. Description of meeting spaces, reservation policies and an online view of space availability can be found here.

Many meeting rooms from small to large are available in the Union, including the Stotler Lounge and Mark Twain Ballroom and Jesse Wrench Auditorium.

Reynolds Alumni Center

Reservations for the Reynolds Alumni Center and the Old Alumni Center (adjacent to the A. L. Gustin Golf Course) are made through the University Club office in room 107 Reynolds Alumni Center at 882-2586.

Primary rooms for events in the Reynolds Center are the Great Room, often used for receptions and medium-sized banquets; the Columns Rooms (with moveable walls can accommodate large banquets, or can be subdivided for smaller events); the T.O. Wright Room and DonRey Media Room (small to medium-sized conference rooms); Kirkwood Room (nice small conference or private dining room); and the Tiger Lounge (casual bar setting can accommodate small receptions or served meals or buffets for small groups).

Academic buildings -- most classrooms and auditoriums

Reservations for academic buildings for events during the day are handled through the Registrar's Office in 130 Jesse Hall at 882-0115.

Reservations for academic buildings for evenings (after 5:30) and weekends are handled through Business Services in 311 Jesse Hall at 882-7255. These facilities are generally not available to groups not affiliated with the University. A person can check the Business Services room reservation website to see when rooms are available, view reservation policies, and can even make requests using an online form.

Jesse Auditorium

Contact the Manager of Jesse Auditorium in the MU Business Services office. Reservations are channeled through his office at 884-9044.

Francis Quadrangle, the Carnahan Quad, Jesse Hall Rotunda, Peace Park, Lowry Mall, Reactor Park Shelter

Also handled through Business Services in 311 Jesse Hall at 882-7255, or by visiting the Business Services room reservation website.

Student Recreation Center (includes the old Rothwell Gym and the old Brewer Fieldhouse as well as Stankowski, Epple, and Hinkson Creek fields)

Special events can be held in the Rec Center (for example, banquets too large for the Union or Alumni Center). Reservations can be made through the Recreation Services office in 320 Student Recreation Center at 884-2443.  More information can be found here.

Bond Life Sciences Center  

Contact the coordinator at 884-1782 for reservations, including all conference rooms, Monsanto Auditorium, the McQuinn Atrium.  An online application is available here.
